Prepare a presentation that will be used to convince a movie producer to adapt The First Men in the Moon into a motion picture.

Your purpose is to persuade your audience that the movie has the potential to be a blockbuster, based on the success of a recent film with a similar plot, protagonist, and/or theme. Make sure your final presentation is attractive and free of grammar mistakes. Include a works cited page listing your sources for any facts or pictures used.

I’m not really sure how to help with research, but if you’re struggling with the presentation itself you should use slidescarnival.com They have preorganized slideshows that don’t take much effort to look like you spent a super long time on them.

Hi Jane!
german

Answer:

1. The author's purpose for writing this text was to invite her friend to her wedding in September, and to give her friends an update on how she is doing with her job and traveling, and to tell her friend how she met her soon to be husband and why she wants to marry him.

2. The text was organized in a way that shows the events as they were from beginning to end, and it was written in a friendly way that shows this was not a professional email/letter but one to a friend that the writer has not talk to for a long period of time.

3. The type/topic/ideas from the text relates to things that I have been doing by giving me context on what my friend has been doing and me being able to examine the things I have accomplished from education to work, to living and travel status, to relationship status.

4. If I was Jane I would write this to Kath "Hey Kath, I am glad you are doing well. I love that you have been able to travel to 4 different cities! I know how much fun it must have been to travel to all these different places and experience different things from each city and that in one of these cities you meant Michael. Congratulation on your wedding and I will love to attend it! As soon as you can please send me the dates of the wedding and more info when you can. I am doing well. My business is flourishing and I can't wait to get some days off so that I can travel. I can't wait to see you.

Love Kath.

President Obama’s National Address to America’s Schoolchildren
gavmur [86]

Answer: "You're not a varsity athlete the first time you play a new sport."

Explanation:

Varsity athletes have usually trained for years to earn the right to become athletes at a university level and even if they only became athletes at varsity level, they did not get selected to be varsity athletes from that first time thy played the sport.

They had to play a lot more times to be chosen to play at that level. This goes to show that the first time you play a sport, you cannot be a varsity athlete.

Of course the President meant this figuratively in that you cannot be as good as a varsity level athlete the first time you play a sport, but even this is still supported by reasons and evidence because you need to have practiced for a while to get to that level.
