Answer:

I am kind of unsure about what word is underlined but as a guess Im thinking the underlined word is "pacify". I would say change it to soothe and make the sentence "To soothe the crying child, his mother sang a lullaby to him"

When you read a book, writing can have a kind of personality. You get a feeling for who the writer is and what he or she might b
skad [1K]

Answer:

One of the rules with my friends and family is to tell the truth. Friends should always be honest with you and tell you if something is wrong or if they did something wrong. One time I did not feel like going to school one day because I had a big english test. I lied to my mom and told her that I did not feel too good. She got the thermometer, washed it off, and put it in my mouth. After she put it in my mouth, she told me to keep it under my tongue while she goes to get her clothes for work. Then when she left the room, I sat up and put the thermometer tip to the lamp. When I heard foot steps close to the door, I put it back in my mouth and it kinda hurt my tongue a little. My mom took it out and it read 101, so she stayed home with me. When she was watching tv in the living room and thought I was asleep, I studied for the test some more for tomorrow. I got to take the test and I passed. I was happy for passing but when I realized that my mom could not take a day off during my break to take me to the arcade I felt horrible. I wish I had never lied about being sick. It’s always best to tell the truth.

Hope this helps!
