Move the decimal point over one & multiply it by $650.00. The answer is the rate of increase in salary. Take that answer & add it to her current earnings of $650.00. The answer to that will be the earnings after the increase.

$650.00 x .05= $32.50

650.00 + $32.50= $682.50

Explain the difference between an equation, like x=5, and an inequality, like x_> 5.
andrew11 [14]
X=5 is a definite answer and one solution. While X greater than OR equal to 5 means that it could be 5 AND anything above 5, which gives multiple of choices for solutions. (I believe this write but it’s been awhile since I did algebra stuff)

The degree of a line is 180, so..

Put it into an equation form: 5x + 75 = 180

1st combine like terms by subtracting 75 from 180

now your equation looks like this: 5x = 105

next you divide 5 from both sides, 105 divided by 5 is 21, so your answer is: x=21
