What is a negative effect of the foreign policy (Truman Doctrine) during the cold war?
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Truman Doctrine is where the US is almost like a hero and they should defend any country against the threat of communism.

Even though the Truman Doctrine helped prevent the communist takeover of other weaker countries, it could be argued that the cold war was extended by a bit and tensions increased heavily almost to the point where every country felt in danger of both powers.

An example of an historical turning point was the emergence of the Enlightment era, that led to the creation of the democratic s
PolarNik [594]

Answer: a good example can be Portugal. In 1807 royal court escapes from Lisbon to Rio because of general Junot´s campaign approaching Portugal.....during the period 1807-1820 there is no political elite in Portugal, only English protectorate with its protector lord Beresford. During this period Portuguese opposition grows against the English and when a revolution overthrows Beresford, it is a LIBERAL REVOLUTION.

Explanation: Liberal revolution (1820) required king John VI to get back and to accept new-born constitution produced by new parliament (so-called Cortes). During the next period (1820-1834) there is a conflict between liberals and absolutists, but absolutists (or Miguelists, followers of absolute monarchy) are defeated. From the 1834 there is a constitutional monarchy which continues till 1910 (proclamation of the republic).
