Answer:

Continents are embedded on tectonic plates. As the tectonic plates move in the ocean, the continents move with them. Something important to remember is that when two continents meet, one is dragged below the other continent.

Continents rest on massive slabs of rock called tectonic plates. The plates are always moving and interacting in a process called plate tectonics. As the seafloor grows wider, the continents on opposite sides of the ridge move away from each other.

How does colonization still affect us today?
Julli [10]
Colonization caused a major cultural shift and merge. For example, the English left a footprint on the United States, which is why Americans speak English. Another example is the country of Haiti in the Caribbean. They were a colony of France and now today their population speaks Haitian French. Traditions of colonizers were also passed down. Mexico was a colony of Spain and at the time of the colonization of the New World Spain was highly Catholic, now the Mexican population are also highly Catholic due to the spreading of Catholicism during Mexicos colonial days. The merge of Settlers and Natives also created a new mix of population and a more diverse community. Even Japan during WW2 had colonized Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos) which in the short period all the Vietnamese learned Jungle War tactics from the Japanese that were used in The Vietnam War.

Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

The time it takes for the Moon to cycle through one set of phases of illumination (one lunation) is called a Synodic Month, or just a regular Month. The time difference between a Sidereal and Synodic Month is due to the advancement of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun during a Sidereal Month.
