The natural and artificial reservoirs of water get dried up in drought as water does not accumulate and replenish in this reservoir because of lack of adequate rainfall. Infrastructure can cause drought if there is no sufficient artificial reservoir which can help in irrigation of field, use for household works, and for other purposes which can help in scarcity of water. Infrastructure which reduces the forest cover also affects the water cycle causing drought in neighboring regions.
