Answer:

i see no background info for this but ill do my best :)

So in ancient greek they took heroism very seriously. For instance, hercules. He was born half human, was taken and turned human, etc. Whatever story you are reading and going by. Either way, he was asked to proof himself a hero to the gods to prove himself and become a god himself/ make everyone happy with him. In comtemporary society, we dont care much about heroism, but it is admirbale, and interesting. We also like hearing stories. Lemme know if you need more or this is not right.

Was Buchanan’s victory a landslide
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

No, Buchanan's victory was not a landslide one.

Explanation:

James Buchanan was the 15th President of the United States, elected on November 4, 1856. In that election he defeated John C. Fremont, of the Republican Party, and Millard Fillmore, of the Know Nothing Party.

In the popular vote, he obtained 45.28% of the votes, compared to 33.11% for Fremont and 21.54% for Fillmore. He obtained a greater distance in the electoral vote, but in no way was it a huge difference, but rather a fairly balanced electoral contest between the different participating forces. Therefore, in no way can it be said that his triumph was a landslide victory.

How did geography influence the development of the Roman Empire?
Degger [83]

Answer:

Rich volcanic soil makes the Po and Tiber river valleys ideally suited for agriculture. Historian Mike Anderson notes that volcanic ash made the soil near Rome some of the best in all of Europe. The surplus also helped Rome to establish trade ties with other Mediterranean powers, enhancing the city's economic might.
