For example, this was very prominent with African Americans and Native Americans in history. White Americans would try to assimilate African Americans, so they could be "better functioning" in society. This also happened with Native Americans, even forcing children out of their homes and taking them to boarding schools. They would then strip them of their culture by forcing them to dress differently and wear certain clothes, all to try to get them to work in society better.
Cultural Preservation - This is where culture is preserved. Culture is and has always been a very important thing to people and preserving it is important as well. This makes it so the culture can be passed on for generations to come and it will never be lost. It can be preserved by sharing your culture with others, creating things that represent your culture, preserving sacred lands that have to do with your culture, or many other ways.
