Answer:Cortes contributed the overall progress because he helped a 3rd world country. Spain. Through the silver, tobacco, cocoa, maize people and gum. Cortes not only dragged his country out of poverty he turned it into the richest one in the world… for a little while at least. “The discovery of silver on Bolivia contributed to the genius of William Shakespeare… American sliver didn’t cause the wars more than it wrote hamlet but the new wealth made both more possible.” Cortes was bringing in silver for Spain so much that Spain built hundreds of ships and engaged in a war with England, who then won the war and had time to see the works of Shakespeare. Without Cortes to bring in the silver and goods, there would be no Spain today as we know it, it would be a weak country with nobody we see today.

Explanation:

The wealth attracted artists, academics, priests, prostitutes and traders, enticed by the Altiplano’s icy mysticism. “I am rich Potosí, treasure of the world, king of all mountains and envy of kings” read the city’s coat of arms, and the pieces of eight that flowed from it helped make Spain the global superpower of the period.
