Because of the geography of Greece, there was not a lot of fertile farm land. How did the Greeks grow enough food for a surging
population? B. c. D. They grew food in two different seasons. They farmed in the mountains on rocky terrain. They prayed to the gods for help. They established colonies where food was able to be grown.
In the summer there were many crops and food but in the Winter all the crop would dry up and there was no more food. So in the summer they would grow so many crops and save a lot for everyone in the winter.
