Answer:

Jim worked at a radio station all his life. He was a well-known and famous radio show host. All of his friends and colleges knew him by one feature: if he’s on-air, he is always wearing a suit and a tie. They laughed at him: ‘No one ever sees you, why do you dress like that?’, but he always turned that into a joke.

One day Jim was invited to appear on the TV. There was a show dedicated to the oldest radio employees. For the first time the people, who only knew him by his voice, would see him. Before the recording of the show, the director came to Jim and asked:

Usually you arrive on time, but today you are 10 minutes late. It’s not horrible, but I’m still interested, why?

You see, Jim answered, at the last moment when I was already dressed up, I noticed that I don’t have new socks. For the first time I was invited to the television, and I thought that simply wearing clean sock is not enough. It needs to be in new socks. So I needed to go to the store for socks.

But why do you need new socks? The director was surprised. You could have come without the socks, because we will be filming you only in close-up, over the waist.

You see, to be spotless on-air, I need to feel myself spotless in everything, starting with the shirt and finishing with the pen in my pocket. And if my socks have holes in them, or my shoes are dirty, I’m not spotless anymore.

Natalka [10]

Answer:

The answer is Word Choice.

Explanation:

The six traits of writing is a way to teach and model writing successfully. It provides students some practice to write effectively and teaching tools to teachers in that area.

The six elements high-quality writing must have are:

  • Ideas: principal elements in a story and relevant, important details to support them. The clarity of message in the story is their main goal.
  • Organization: The overall presentation of the story. It should follow an organized structure and a clear pattern in events and ideas, such as a logical relation and a proper timeline.
  • Voice: the way words and phrases are told in the story. It represents the unique style and personal touch of the writer, and it also shows their point of view and personal ideas.
  • Word Choice: descriptive words and phrases carefully selected to make the story interesting. The writer should be economical and concise when it comes to using words in writing. Using strong, clear words and phrases helps the reader to understand and enjoy better the story.
  • Sentence Fluency: it is the way words and phrases flow together. It should be rhythmical and smooth, and easy to read through lines.
  • Conventions: the correct use of grammar, spelling, punctuation and some other rules of the language to convey the ideas and message properly. Part of the writing process includes making sure that the writing is technically correct and in line with the story.

Considering the definitions above, the correct answer is Word Choice.

Answer:

Excerpt 1. Tetrameter.

Excerpt 2. Tetrameter

Excerpt 3. Trimeter

Excerpt 3. Trimeter

Explanation:

In the first two Excerpts, they both consist of 8 syllables. And the last two consist of 6 syllables. What does this mean? when you have a 8 syllable line you divide that in half, it has to be even to be a Iambic. So for the last two Excerpts they have syllables of 6, dived six you get three, Trimeter also means three.
