Brief explanation on how the media can influence public opinion of sports personalities in both a positive and a negative way
masha68 [24]
Positive way would be how the media emphasises and glorifies the wins of Athletes such as Serena Williams, Yuna kim and the Football stars by showcasing their victories, their hard training and perseverance. Media although shines a positive light on these Athletes through sponsorship and advertising which change perception of people to believe that the athlete is stronger/better as compared to other Athletes.

The media can influence in a negative way through highlighting the flaws of the athlete. For example, the fame of lance armstrong was not only taken way but he instantly became an infamous example of cheating through sports in the media eye. Such is also the case for tiger woods where his affairs were brought to light. Exposure on these negative aspects can bring the public to despise and change their opinions of the Athletes

Please mark me brainliest because I worked hard on this and it took me almost 15 mins, I gave a deep explanation, and also I was the first person to answer lol. :)

Answer:

the answer is the second one. (ugly : pretty : ::tall :short)

Explanation:

Definition of Analogy- a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification.

Here is an example sentence- "an analogy between the workings of nature and those of human societies"

The reason why I chose the second answer is because it is comparing beauty/society. Like for example, "alissa is tall, but sam is short" or "Emily is ugly, but Jessica is pretty". These are all comparisons.

I didn't choose the first answer (dog : cat :: cat : mouse) because it is just saying opposites and it is not comparing, it is naming animals.

I didn't choose the third one (brush: comb :: broom: sweep) because, again, they are only naming objects.

I didn't choose the fourth one (yellow : bright :: one : little) because its not comparing and its just naming random things that don't even go together lol
