Cold war why did the other allied powers not trust stalin after world war 2 came to an end
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

Stalin failed to keep some of his promises.  Churchill and other allied leaders were afraid Stalin /Russians would not leave cities they liberated from the Nazis.  Truman took over from Roosevelt and was tougher with Stalin.  The West did not share information on nuclear/atomic developments, another sign of distrust.  They felt he was another dictator, when they just fought dictators.  The Communist ideology saw Capitalism as an enemy to be conquered rather than a different ideology to co-exist with.

Why did the Spartans emphasis military training
vlada-n [284]
The Spartans emphasized military training because in general, they were a nation of soldiers. They were built and raised as warriors because the Spartans prided themselves as heroes that were extremely strong and extremely fierce in battle. Because of their strong military background, they developed a military culture that was brought down to each of the descendants of Sparta. Even since birth, Spartans already learned the ways of the warrior.

The city moving the farthest up the top ten rankings between 1850 and 1880 was
VashaNatasha [74]
In population rankings of cities in the United States, Chicago moved up the furthest in the top ten rankings between 1850 and 1880.

In 1850, Chicago wasn't even in the top ten list.  Chicago's population in 1850 was only around 30,000.  But by 1880, the city of Chicago had expanded rapidly, to a population of over 500,000 and into the #3 spot on the list of America's largest cities.   (On some lists, you might see Chicago as #4 on the list at that time, but that's if they count New York and Brooklyn separately rather than counting the New York metropolitan area as a unit.)
