Write a two page essay about Osama bin Laden and his relationshiop to the 9/11 attacks and what motivated him?
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

The world was introduced to Osama bin Laden and his terrorist organization, al’ Qaeda on September 11, 2001. Millions gathered around their televisions in shock at the devastation this terrorist organization created. Thousands of innocent civilians lost their lives after al’ Qaeda operatives devised and carried out their plans to hijack planes and divert them into key U.S. landmarks. Osama bin Laden praised the work of his followers and the United States realized just how serious of a threat al’ Qaeda and Osama bin Laden really were. Al’ Qaeda had been around for over a decade prior to 9/11; and bin Laden had declared his hatred for the West, specifically the United States, during his fatwa’s in 1996 and 1998 when he declared a Holy War.

During this time, Islam became more than just a religion to bin Laden, he began to adopt a more radicalized view of the world and extreme his religious ideals began to shape his political views. By the late seventies, bin Laden was actively involved with the extremist group and joined in “the jihad” (holy war) against the Soviets when they invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Bin Laden used his connections and wealth to help finance and support recruitment and training of jihads against the Soviets, in addition to developing a “Golden Chain” of financiers that helped fund recruits into Afghanistan. During this time, the United States and Saudi Arabia were spending billions of dollars of assistance into training rebels in Afghanistan in order to fight against the Soviets. It was during this time that bin Laden and his associate Abdullah Azzam created Al ‘Qaeda (the base). The U.S. was unaware that they were providing training and secret assistance to a future enemy.

Which form of government shares goods and services equally, and the political power is distributed among the people?
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer: Socialism

Explanation:

Socialism, understood as the concern for a society that suppresses inequalities between men, is an idea that can be found in the remote past of Universal History. However, socialism, as it is generally understood today, enters the stage of history only in the mid-eighteenth century, with the work of Karl Marx.

In practice, this has always meant using state power to force a new lifestyle on people. It also meant that since the laws of economics could not be repealed, the more socialism was applied, the more the standard of living sank. On the other side of this equation, we have capitalism, where businesses operate in free markets. Where markets are relatively free, the standard of living of the population is higher, and the greater is economic growth.

On the other hand, two hundred years after the birth of Marx, with each new failure inspired by Marxism, its supporters are obliged to resort to the same excuses as always, and with an air of originality. The only hope is that in 200 years they will have given up.

Each church or religious group follows one of these that may be more or less specific to it's members?
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

1. Creed.

Explanation:

A creed is also known as confession of faith and it can be defined as an authoritative formula or statement of religious belief which summarizes the core tenets of a particular religion.

Simply stated, a creed is a symbol or confession of faith for a particular religion.

Each church or religious group follows a creed which may be more or less specific to it's members.

In Christianity, some examples of a creed are "Jesus is Lord" and “I believe in the holy catholic church.”

Additionally, in order for an excommunicated member to be reinstated as a bonafide member of the church, the individual must show a sign of repentance, renewal of obedience, or a profession of the creed in a catholic church.

1) What was the only Roman institution to survive the fall of the Western Empire? Why was it so important? How did the Holy Roma
aivan3 [116]

The institution that survived the fall of the last remnant of the Roman empire  was naturally the church, which has even survived even until modern times.

It was important because it provided order, security, and stability in times when revolts and wars over power came one after another, what is more, it brought identity to a civilization who had lost it centuries ago

It is still important, since most of what it is known about roman civilization survived to our days along with the roman religion, including but not limited to the latin language which otherwise would be lost forever due to the continued break up of the once unified roman empire as well as the mixture of barbaric tribes and their customs which cause population not to understand latin anymore and eventually leading to the development of romance languages. Latin continued to be used by the church nonetheless.

The Holy Roman Empire represented such power by spreading this identity as far as they could and assimilating the emperor and the rest of institutions  under his grasp. In this way the roman catholic church melded in a church- state alliance where church was for long time an entity as big and powerful as the state itself . This is how the hierarchy and ways of the roman church exist and continue to influence many people around the world today.
