The Vietnam War concluded with a communist success, where North Vietnam joined the regions of South Vietnam, joining them under the designation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Korean War, on the other hand, finished in a status quo ante Bellum, with minimum territorial adjustments, and without a definite victor. Therefore, North Korea, socialist, and South Korea, capitalist, controlled their regions, a situation that continues until today.
