answer:

60 ft

step-by-step explanation:

first we need to know the formula on how to volume for rectangular prism get our answer, which is

length × width × height

and for this problem, thoses number would have to be

1.5 * 5 * 8

and honestly it doesn't really matter on which number we multiply first but i usually do left to right

1.5 * 5

= 7.5 feet

then we just need to multiply the left over numbers

7.5 * 8

= 60 feet

which is on the the choices for answers and also our answer!

if you wanted to double check it ( or your teacher makes you ) just divide our answer by any one of the three numbers from the start

60/8

= 7.5

then we do that step once again but instead we just use the answer ( 7.5 ) we had just gotten

7.5/5

= 5

and again it doesnt really matter which of the three numbers you use but never use the same numbers twice ( unless it shows up twice in the problem )

i hope this helps you, if you needed anymore help on this you can always ask me! :)

All sides of a square and a pentagon are 9 inches long. Are their perimeters the same? Explain
EastWind [94]

No they wouldn't be the same because, the perimeter is adding all sides.

The square has 4 sides so you would add 9, four times.

9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 36

And a pentagon has 5 sides so you would add 9, five times.

9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 45

So, they are not the same.

Hope this helps. :)
