Answer:

Joan of Arc, nicknamed "The Maid of Orléans," was born in 1412, in Domremy, France. Never venturing far from home, Joan took care of the animals and became quite skilled as a seamstress. In 1415, King Henry V of England invaded northern France. Even after being captured defending Compiegne, her faith did not waver. She refused to deny her faith and connection to God, knowing that she would be killed for it. Thus, she died bravely as a martyr. The story of Joan of Arc teaches us the importance of faith – she fought with little more than her faith. Joan of Arc remembered. Joan was captured and burned at the stake as a heretic when she was 19 years old. However, her fame has lived on to the present day through popular histories, novels and plays such as Saint Joan by George Bernard Shaw.

Speculate about how these laws were enforced
Blababa [14]

A major purpose of these laws was to preserve slavery. In the first two years after the Civil War, white dominated southern legislatures passed Black Codes modeled after the earlier slave codes. They were particularly concerned with controlling movement and labor, as slavery had given way to a free labor system.

What did the Treaty of New York, Treaty of Fort Jackson, and Treaty of Indian Springs have in common? The Creeks gave up land in
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

The Creeks gave up land in exchange for money and protection, but the US government did little to stop settlers from pushing west.

Explanation:

The fight for land and belonging has been a constant source of discontentment between the Native Indians and the American government. The Creeks were one such native people who, like every other Native Indian, had to suffer at the hands of the United States government and try to find peaceful ways for them to have their own reservations.

But while there are numerous wars fought between the two, there are also numerous treaties signed to try to maintain peace and cordial relations. The Treaty of New York (1790), the Treaty of Fort Jackson (1814), and the Treaty of Indian Springs (1825) were some of the treaties signed between the two parties. And one common factor of these treaties is that the Creeks were made to cede their lands in exchange for some money and protection from the government. But while the Native Indians kept their part of the agreement, the U. S. Government did not do much to keep their part and did not stop the flow of settlers in the areas of the Native Indians.
