Jokes and Spokes charges $25 initial fee and an additional $5 for each hour rented. Wheeling charges an initial fee of $18 dolla

rs and an additional $6 for each hour rented. The total cost to rent a bike from Jokes and Spokes can be represented by the equation c = 5h + 25, where h represents the number of hours rented and y represented the cost in dollar. The total cost for Wheeling can be represented by the equation c = 6h + 18, where h represents the number of hours rented and y represented the cost in dollars. For how many hours of rental is the amount charged by the two companies the same? What is the cost, in dollars, of renting the bike for this many hours?

From what I understand for jokes and spokes $5h x 6 = 30 and wheelers $6h x 5 = 30 but I’m not completely sure

If a =7 , find the area of it .

Please give me the answer I have a exam at 12.00
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

60cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle = length x breath

Let,

length (L) = (a-1) cm

breadth (B) = (a+3) cm

Putting the value of a = 7;

we get,

length= 7-1 = 6 cm

breadth= 7+3 = 10 cm

Therefore, area of the rectangle = L x B

= 6 x 10

= 60 cm²

-5x + 46 +4z
Combine like terms
-5x + 2x = -3x
-3x + -2x = -5x
14 - (-32) = 46
4z is left alone since it doesn't have a like term.
