the disease would affect the species of grass because when the animals that live there eat the grass, they would become infected/sick and possibly become deceased.
If the disease which has infected many species of grass in the savanna killed all of the grass it would cause a shortage of food for the grassing animals in the savanna, it could also make animals which ingest the infected grass sick.
