A lead is an introduction that begins a story. It could be a paragraph, single word or a sentence. The different types of lead include:
Narrative lead.
Summary lead.
Staccato lead.
Contrast lead.
Direct-address lead.
A staccato lead consists of short, exciting phrases that sets the scene and captures the attention of the audience. It creates the mood for the story before answering the 5W(who, what, where, when and why) and the H(how).
A narrative lead is the opening of the story, the phrases that hook the readers' attention and display the scene before they find out about the characters and the circumastances surrounding them. They can also be created through dialogue, action or imagery. A typical example of a narrative lead is the phrase "Once upon a time."
The girl will talk to the boy and the girl would become jealous because she's talking to the boy. They end up spending a lot of time together afterwards. Because they are both attracted to each other and they finally end up going out afterwards and everything falls in place
