How do endoparasites survive inside the body of the host?​

The endoparasites have the following features which help them to survive inside the body of the host: Anaerobic respiration. Exchange of gases through the body surface. They possess an additional organ for attachment.

Endoparasites have extreme specialisations which makes their life cycles more complex. Some examples of endoparasites are Taenia solium and Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke), etc.

The special structures possessed by endoparasites are as follows:

➥ Hooks .

➥ Dorsoventrally flattened body.

➥ High reproductive potential.

➥ Indirect development.
