Answer:

Explanation:

The horrible irony of the fact that the Loisels spent years paying off a replacement for what was actually a worthless necklace is just one instance of irony evident in “The Necklace.” Also ironic is the fact that Mathilde’s beauty, which had been her only valued asset, disappears as a result of her labor for the necklace. She had borrowed the necklace to be seen as more beautiful and winds up losing her looks completely. Perhaps the most bitter irony of “The Necklace” is that the arduous life that Mathilde must assume after losing the necklace makes her old life—the one she resented so fully—seem luxurious. She borrows Madame Forestier’s necklace to give the appearance of having more money than she really does, only to then lose what she does have. She pays doubly, with her money and looks, for something that had no value to begin with.

What makes shakespeare different from other playwrights?
stiv31 [10]
Shakespeare is different from other playwrights for so many reasons. First of all, the level of his language and structure is far superior to other writers; his use of iambic pentameter-varied with other meters to show class or character-is usually textbook. Also, he wrote for the people. He used common themes and didn't make the audience rely on previous knowledge of history or events or people, which made his plays reach a wider audience and it's why they still are widely read and performed today.

Appreciation would always be present regardless of the fact that Prospero’s treatment of Caliban changed.  Because of Prospero’s initial kindness toward Caliban, an appreciation was there.  Again, even if the treatment changed, that appreciation of initial kindness would never be changed to resentment.  Further, even if it were possible for Caliban to be more appreciative, what would really have had to change were the actions, not the feelings (which is what appreciation is—a feeling).  Perhaps if Caliban had done more to show his appreciation, Prospero’s treatment of Caliban would not have changed to harshness.

yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

Pets can improve your life. The ability of animalsin helping people recover from a range of health and emotional problems has long been scientifically recognized. Now, a survey reported in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology appears to show that owning a pet can help healthy individuals too. A number of experiments, carried out by two universities in the United States, indicate that pet owners are generally happier, healthier, fitter, more confident and better able to cope with everyday issues than non-owners. The researchers discovered that individuals have just as close a relationship with the key people in their lives, in other words, family and friends, as they have with their pets. And although they found no evidence that people choose emotional relationships with pets over relationships with other people, a study of university students showed that owning a pet helped them get over the break-up of a relationship with a partner.

Explanation:

The text shown above had the blanks completed with the words that best fit the text, in order to maintain the context of the message presented and providing a coherent, cohesive and meaningful text.

The text above addresses the benefits that people can have when they own a pet. The text states that these benefits were scientifically proven through scientific research carried out by different universities, where all had the same result, proving the veracity of the information.

What is the most exciting part to read in the cold equations
adoni [48]
The most exciting and yet the saddest part of the story comes when the end is near for the stowaway.  The pilot of the spaceship shuttle is able to reach the authorities who refuse to make an exception to inevitable death for the stowaway. However, she finally gets to speak to her brother whom she was planning to see and explain her position on why she did what she did.  Her realization that death is inevitable for her comes when she is forced to become an adult in a very brief period of time to face her fears and her consequences. Then the hatch opens and she is gone . . .
