Answer:

During WWII The Soviets attacked the Nazi's from the east, while the USA attacked the Nazi's from the west.  After the War Russia refused to cede control back to Germany and kept the east part as one of their communist states. America gave the west side back to Germany, and installed a Democracy.

The answer is… In the aftermath of World War II, many Europeans lacked adequate food, shelter, and resources. Following the German military leaders' unconditional surrender in May 1945, the country lay prostrate. For purposes of occupation, the Americans, British, French, and Soviets divided Germany into four zones. Shortly after midnight on this day in 1961, East German soldiers begin laying down barbed wire and bricks as a barrier between Soviet-controlled East Berlin and the democratic western section of the city. After World War II, defeated Germany was divided into Soviet, American, British and French zones of occupation. And later installed the democracy. Hope this helps!

They were all afraid of irritating people (who vote). Since people (who vote) decided their unavoidable future, they didn't want to take any strong stances on anything and just went with the flow and played the tune that the people wanted to hear. They needed to stay in power and not lose it for taking a serious stance..........
