Answer: 5 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The area of the square is 75\ in.^2

The side length of the square is a\sqrt{3}

Area of square=(\text{length})^2

\therefore 75=(a\sqrt{3})^2\\\Rightarrow 75=3a^2\\\Rightarrow a^2=25\\\Rightarrow a=5\ in.

Thus, value of a is 5 inch

Para la ecuación 2x+5y-3=0, halla la coordenada que falta (-3,?)
butalik [34]

Answer:

(-3, \frac{9}{5})

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the equation 2x + 5y-3 = 0.

The ordered pairs of this equation have the form (x_0, y_0)

Where x is the independent variable and y is the dependent variabe.

That is, the points belonging to the line 2x + 5y-3 = 0 have the form (x_0, f (x_0))

For y = f(x).

So, we need to find f(x_0) for x_0 = -3.

Then we substitute x = -3 into the equation and clear the value of y.

2(-3) + 5y -3 = 0

-6 + 5y = 3\\\\5y = 9\\\\y = \frac{9}{5}.

Then the ordered pair is:

(-3, \frac{9}{5})

Tuition at a community college increased from$55.00 to $62.00 per semester hour what is the % of increase..??
zlopas [31]
To find the percent of increase take the difference of the two divided by the original.  (62-55)/55 = .12727272727.  So 13% if they want you to round to the nearest percent.

How to set up a system of equations
Scorpion4ik [409]

To set up your system of equations is to have 2 equations. They both would have 1 similar variable. For example, Jenny is 5 more her brother's age. She is also 2 more than twice her brother's age. You would set this up as Y, which is Jenny, and X, her brother. Y = 5 + x and Y = 2x + 2. Make sure you put Y in the same spot in both equations. Then take the other half of the equations and simplify them. 5 + x = 2x + 2. Subtract x from both sides to get 5 = x + 2. Subtract 2 from both sides to get 3 = x. Now replace the X from both equations to get Y = 5+3, and Y = 2(3) + 2. You will see both add up to 8, which is how old Jenny is in this example. Hope this helped!

A 4ft piece of pipe needs to be divided into pieces that are 2/3ft long. How many pieces are made? How many remaining?
Katen [24]
4ft divided by 2/3ft

4/1 divided by 2/3

4/1 times 3/2 is 12/2 or 6 pieces, 0 remaining.
