Answer:

I believe

Malcom because

Malcolm flees to England because after his father, King Duncan, is murdered, he is afraid that he's next. He wants to get out of where he lives to be safe. Why does Macduff travel to England? Macduff travels to england because he does not agree with Macbeth's rule/leadership

-Macduff wants Malcolm to “hold fast the mortal sword” and fight Macbeth with him

-Macduff indeed goes to England to gather the support of both the King of England and Malcolm (Duncan's son) in overthrowing Macbeth. So, that is his basic motivation as it relates to the story. As for the structure of the play, Macduff's departure to England is important for two reasons.

Study the editorial cartoon Join, or Die, created by Benjamin
Finger [1]

Answer: I would contend that the right answer is the 2) The weakness of American colonies when they operate separately.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little bit on the answer, it can be added that when Benjamin Franklin conceived this political cartoon featuring a snake cut into eight fragments, each one of them labeled with the initials of some of the Thirteen Colonies, and the cautionary message "Join, or Die," he was purposely encouraging the colonies to unite against the enemy — the French and Indian War was being fought at that time. The cartoon was used, with some variations, during the Revolutionary War also with the goal of encouraging unity, although this time against the British, not against the French.
