Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: Total number of students = 32

Total number of ratio of students that enjoy Physics, Biology and Chemistry = 5 + 5 + 6 = 16

Number of boys that enjoy the three subjects = 16

Number of girls that enjoy the three subjects = 16

Number of students that enjoy Physics = 5/16 X 32 = 10

Number of students that enjoy Biology = 5/16 X 32 = 10

Number of students that enjoy Chemistry = 6/16 X 32 = 12

If number of boys that enjoy Physics = 4

∴ Number of girls that enjoy Physics = 10 - 4 = 6

The probability of girls that enjoy Chemistry = 0.25 = 1/4

∴ The number of girls that enjoy Chemistry = 1/4 X 12 = 3

Hence, the number of boys that enjoy Chemistry = 12 - 3 = 9

Number of boys that enjoy Biology = 9 + 4 - 10 = 13 - 10 = 3

∴ Number of girls that enjoy Biology = 10 - 3 = 7

VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

The cost of 16 oz of granola should be $16.16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The cost of 3 oz of granola is $3.03

We need to find the cost of 16 oz of granola..

As 3 oz = $3.03

1 oz = (3.03/3) = $1.01

The cost of 16 oz will be :

16 oz = 16×1.01

= $16.16

Hence, the cost of 16 oz of granola should be $16.16.

A particular state has elected both a governor and a senator. Let A be the event that a randomly selected voter has a favorable
Elodia [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that A be the event that a randomly selected voter has a favorable view of a certain party’s senatorial candidate, and let B be the corresponding event for that party’s gubernatorial candidate.

Suppose that

P(A′) = .44, P(B′) = .57, and P(A ⋃ B) = .68

From the above we can find out

P(A) = 1-0.44 = 0.56

P(B) = 1-0.57 = 0.43

P(AUB) = 0.68 =

0.56+0.43-P(A\bigcap B)\\P(A\bigcap B)=0.30

a) the probability that a randomly selected voter has a favorable view of both candidates=P(AB) = 0.30

b) the probability that a randomly selected voter has a favorable view of exactly one of these candidates

= P(A)-P(AB)+P(B)-P(AB)

=0.99-0.30-0.30\\=0.39

c) the probability that a randomly selected voter has an unfavorable view of at least one of these candidates

=P(A'UB') = P(AB)'

=1-0.30\\=0.70
