Answer:

The Kingdom of Kandy was a monarchy on the island of Sri Lanka, located in the central and eastern portion of the island. It was founded in the late 15th century and endured until the early 19th century.

Initially a client kingdom of the Kingdom of Kotte, Kandy gradually established itself as an independent force during the tumultuous 16th and 17th centuries, allying at various times with the Jaffna Kingdom, the Madurai Nayak dynasty of South India, Sitawaka Kingdom, and the Dutch colonizers to ensure its survival.

From the 1590s, it was the sole independent native polity on the island of Sri Lanka and through a combination of hit-and-run tactics and diplomacy kept European colonial forces at bay, before finally succumbing to British colonial rule in 1818.

The kingdom was absorbed into the British Empire as a protectorate following the Kandyan Convention of 1815, and definitively lost its autonomy following the Uva Rebellion of 1817.

Is the Appellate court the same as the Circuit Court of Appeals?
svetlana [45]
They can be the same, but not always. Circuit courts of appeals are one step below the Supreme Court, and are one step above the district courts. Any court above the local courts can be an appellate court if it hears appeals of the result of a case from a lower court.

How is power divided between the federal and state governments?(5 sentence pls if you can, they can be short)
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Down below :) Hope it helps

Explanation:

Federal laws apply to everyone in the United States of America. State laws, on the other hand, apply to people who live or work in a particular state. The federal government has the right to regulate the mail, declare war, or conduct foreign affairs. The state government and the federal government both have the power to tax. The state government can exercise important functions in the United States, plan and pay for most roads, run public schools, provide water, organize police and fire services, and much more. Although the Federal government makes decisions for the United States as a whole, the State government isn't powerless, they have many rights do declare many things in their own state.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT
crimeas [40]

Answer:

Greatly influenced.

Explanation:

The governments and economies of foreign nations greatly influenced the United States of America because the products produced by foreign nations compete with the American products in the market. This competition causes negative effects on the economy of United States when more products of foreign countries are sold as compared to American products due to lower prices of foreign nations products. Big challenges are created by nontraditional economies, natural disasters, and emerging democracies on the United States government because these factors lowers the production and sale of American products in the market that affected the economy.
