B. Personification

Here's why:

A hyperbole is an exaggeration of something like: "It's hotter than the sun outside!"

A personification of something is when an object that is not human is given a human like action or personality, like: "The lightning danced across the sky."

A simile is a comparison of two alike things to make the imagery stronger, for example: "He's as sly as a fox."

An onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound, for example: "Pow" or "bang".

So the best option for the sentence, "He could almost hear the outdoors calling to him," would be personification.

Hope this helps, good luck mate! :D
