Which statement from the Declaration of Independence1 best reflects the Enlightenment idea of the social contract?
Scrat [10]
The answer is B. The founding fathers were all strongly influenced by enlightened thinkers and philosophers of the time when drafting the Declaration of Independence. One particular philosopher was John Locke, who wrote in his work that the natural rights of man include "life, liberty, and property" and these natural rights should not be given up the citizen in the face of the government. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is extremely similar Locke's notion of the Social Contract.

How did the U.S. involvement in the Cold War effect Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East
motikmotik
The Cold War in Latin America had marked consequences for the region's political and economic evolution. From the origins of US fears of Latin American Communism in the early 20th century to the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s, regional actors played central roles in the drama. Africa, like all continents, was affected by the Cold War. It was probably less strategically important than Europe and Asia, though. ... Most of Africa had been divided into colonies until after World War II. Western European nations, exhausted by WWII, were no longer able to maintain control of their colonies in Africa.
And in Asia it was violent and brutal, which most of it was documented, but Mohandas Gandhi mostly led peaceful movements :)

Hope this helps, brainliest? :))

Why did Phillis Wheatley believe that Christianity and slavery were incompatible
Hoochie [10]

Since Phillis Wheatley was indoctrinated in the Christian faith at an age when she was able to reason complex subjects, she soon would learn that Jesus' teachings were mainly about love among individuals, and slavery was an institution that clearly attempted against that because of the exploitation of man by man and the harsh physical punishment that slaves had to undergo at the hands of plantation owners or foremen.
