It started as a normal week, I woke up at 8:30, i washed my face, got dressed, ate a bowl of oatmeal, brushed my teeth, and went to work. I've done this the same way and in the same order for 10 years, every morning. It was predictable, I like predictible. But, on Wenesday, things took a turn for the worst. I woke up and went to wash my face, the sink was already wet. My toothbrush was wet and out of its usual place. Normal people would gloss over this, not me. Washing my face, I looked all around my house for any sign that I didnt do this, I didnt break schedule.

After an hour i sat on my couch feeling defeated. Did i break my schedule? I dont remember doing it. How could i? I got up to eat my oatmeal, it was the least i could do. I made the bowl and went to put it in the microwave, there was already a bowl in there. I dropped the bowl and glass went all over my kitchen. How is this happening to me? I didn't break the schedule, someone else is doing this to me. Again, i looked around my house for something, anything to prove someone else did this. Again, nothing. I laid on my bed and closed my eyes, i was late for work. I didnt know what to do, everything was falling apart.

I opened my eyes and i was in my car. This was a dream. This has to be a dream, how would I have gotten in my car? This entire day has been a dream, I bet. I wouldn't have broken my schedule, this is just a really bad dream. It's probably 8:25 right now I'm about to wake up. I sat there for 30 minuetes waiting to see my bedroom ceiling. Nothing happened, this isn't a dream.

I tried to think hard, how would this have happened? I remembered

why I set the schedule in the first place. Because of my memory, I couldn't

remember anything i did the day before without having a set schedule every day. I hadn't forgotten anything since the day I set it. I got out of my car and looked at the sky, I'm tired of being like this... I went inside and sat on the floor in front of my front door trying to remember. The last thing I remembered was opening in my eyes and standing in the middle of the street.

Sholpan [36]

We can identify the phrases that use imagery in the following way:

  • It's strange that all this is still so clear to me, now that the summer has long since fled and time has had its way. - Not imagery.
  • A grindstone stands where the bleeding tree stood, just outside the kitchen door, and now if an oriole sings in the elm, its song seems to die up in the leaves, a silvery dust. - Imagery.
  • The flower garden is prim, the house a gleaming white , and the pale fence across the yard stands straight and spruce. - Imagery.
  • But sometimes (like right now), as I sit in the cool, green-draped parlor , the grindstone begins to turn, and time with all its changes is ground away – and I remember Doodle - Imagery.

What is imagery?

Imagery actually refers to the type of figure of speech that is used to create a visual image of what the speaker or author is talking about. It usually appeals to the senses.

We can see that the above selected options carrying "imagery" create a visual image of what the speaker is talking about.
