The British crown declared the proclamation at the end of the French and Indian war. This proclamation had angered the colonists. They believe it was put in place so that England can stay in control of them. This had caused them to rebel against this proclamation. They rebelled because they felt that they deserved to settle on those lands. This had soon led to the American revolution.
