The Federalists were those who had helped create the Constitution after the Articles of Confederation failed, or they supported the Constitution. In order for the Constitution to speak for the people, each state had to ratify it. Anti-Federalists believed that it gave the government too much power and published essays against ratifying it. The Federalist papers were in response.
The main obligations that a peasant had to the lord of the manor included the constant upkeep and maintenance of the land, as well a promise to give up the land upon command.
The Magna Carta was written due to tension between the unpopular King and a group of rebel barons. It was written in Windsor, England and "it promised the protection of church rights, protection for barons from illegal imprisonment, access to swift justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown, to be implemented through a council of 25 barons."
