Which feature allowed the city of Rome to be defended?

History

Answer:

Its location on seven hills

Explanation:

The location of the city of Rome was especially favorable to its early settlers. Located about 18 miles (29 km) inland on the Tiber River, Rome had a route to the sea. However, it was far enough inland to be relatively safe from pirates. It could be easily defended because of its position, built on seven hills. In addition, it was situated where the Tiber River could be easily crossed. Thus, it became a natural crossing point for north-south traffic in western Italy. All in all, Rome had a good central location in Italy from which to expand.

One way Great Britain attempted to limit Hitler's sphere of influence was
kondaur [170]

Answer:

Hitler wanted to expand his influence to the East, and Italy, Nazi Germany's main ally, wanted to expand its influence all over the Mediterranean Sea.

What Britain did was to use the colonial power it had in the Middle-East, especially in Egypt, to prevent Germany and Italy from conquering Northern Africa, the Middle East, and other eastern regions.

This proved successful because Britain was able to hold back Italy and Nazi Germany (Nazi general Erwin Rommel was defeated in Northern Africa by British forces).

Why is it that talent alone is not enough to guarantee success? why is knowledge essential in achieving success?
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

Well, because if you come to think of it... A man born with a genius mind just laying in his bed, playing video games all day, his genius talents will eventually fade away because he didn't use it properly. His laziness will eventually result in his failure.

Knowledge is essential in achieving success because knowledge can increase your chances of success by facilitating decision-making, building learning environments by making learning routine, and stimulating cultural change and innovation.
