Subes, This is a word but it's stating something instead of asking a question. "Tú subes por las escaleras = You climb/ go up the stairs".
So subiste is the right one!

And you use conocer to say that you are familiar with something either a person, place, or thing.
Basically saber means to know of something, and conocer means to be familiar with someting.
