Senator Warren states that women are "ready to fight back" against unequal pay. Is this a valid argument supported by accurate e
Andru [333]
A and D can be thrown out immediately...she is a Senator she better be supporting her arguments with actual evidence. Also, in the text the paragraph that says women are "ready to fight back" includes the evidence stated in options B and C. Option C is not as strong because it just says that the Paycheck Fairness Act gives "women the tools" but not actually what those tools. B is the best answer because it explains what those tools do.

Assess the important of finding a balance between personal freedom and responsible social behaviour?
alekssr [168]
It has been said that "one's rights ends where another person's rights begins." In other words, there is a proper place and time for each person's expression of his freedom and it should be maintained under certain limits and conditions. For instance, an individual has the freedom to choose his own clothes; thus, he can wear his style for as long as he does not distract or offend others by his clothes. This is also true with drinking alcohol. Nobody's stopping anybody from drinking but they are expected to behave properly so as not to cause public disturbance. The worst scenario is driving under the influence of alcohol where many lives are cut short because of car and road accidents. Peace and order is maintained when personal freedom and responsible social behavior are put in place. Going beyond the limits will only deprive the society of harmony and hinder others from enjoying their own personal freedom.

Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is.
valkas [14]
Thoreau mostly uses imagery to illustrate time in the excerpt. The second sentence is saying that he is in the midst of time/living, and he can "detect how shallow it is," meaning that he is aware that life is short and that the end is inevitable. Thoreau also describes time as being fleeting, but ever-present.
I hope this helps!
