Another thing was that each state only had 1 vote. This wasnt really fair for the larger states, because they have more people to represent. In order to make decisions, they had to get all 13 of the states vote, so it was nearly impossible to amend. Finally, the states all had thier own money systems, and there wasnt a common currency which made it very difficult to trade and travel.
