How does Maya Angelou use figurative language to enhance the message of her poem?
makkiz [27]

Answer: no matter what is done to the speaker and to her people, her power is such that "still, like dust, I'll rise." This simile suggests that the speaker is lighter than air, floating upward, above the "lies" of her oppressors. The poem is replete with similes. The speaker compares herself to "moons" and "suns" and describes herself as having "the certainty of tides," all images which suggest constancy and a capacity to stay the course and outlast naysayers. The speaker also uses figurative language to suggest that she behaves as if she is wealthier than she is, knowing that there is an internal, natural wealth inside her. She behaves "like I've got gold mines" and "like I've got oil wells," indicating that the speaker carries herself with the confidence of someone who has valuable natural resources, and knows it.

Your goal is to try to figure out what the main idea or theme could possibly be of "The Red Studio". There is not necessarily a
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

L'Atelier Rouge which is also known as "The Red Studio" features a contemplative, yet small view of Matisse's recent painting, sculpture, and ceramics, displayed in his studio. The works of art appear in color and in detail, while the room's architecture and furnishings are indicated only by negative gaps in the red surface leading to a theme that can be interpreted as intricate whilst being modest and subtle.

Extra Notes: Seeing artwork displayed at random is to me the most appealing part of said work, the simplicity and carelessness add the feeling that the work is genuine and personal. I feel as if I myself had been there during the passionate, yet delicate original creation of The Red Studio.

Hope this helps! :D

We discussed that Frankenstein is a frame story with three frames delineated by point of view: Robert Walton, Victor Frankenstei
Bumek [7]

Answer:

Each one complements the other since they let the reader perceive every point of view of the situation to make sure the whole context is analyzed.

Explanation:

All right the Frankenstein novel is a classic piece of art that is renowned for its terror scenarios and its reflective discussion. Now, all of the points of view create a bigger picture in which we can observe the different events in the story from a very different perspective. This is a very rich work because it lets you build empathy in all the perspectives and create a wider angle of perspective. After reading the complete story we will end with no bias and with full knowledge about the different sides of the story.
