The average body temperature of a lemming is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The
zaharov [31]

Answer:

|x - 98.6| > 1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Temperature = 98.6F

Range = 1.5F

Required

Write the absolute value inequality

Let the temperature be represented by x

We start by writing an expression for the difference between x and 98.6.

This can be written as x - 98.6

From the question, we understand that this difference is more than 1.5F

Representing this using absolute value inequality; we have

|x - 98.6| > 1.5

Solving further; this gives

x - 98.6 > 1.5 or x - 98.6 < -1.5

Make x the subject of formula in both cases

x >98.6 +1.5 or x < 98.6-1.5

x >100.1 or x < 97.1

This can be rewritten as

x >100.1 or 97.1>x

Combining these two inequalities;

97.1 > x > 100.1

Hence;

The absolute inequality is |x - 98.6| > 1.5

And the range of value is 97.1 > x > 100.1

Sandra read 5 books, Deacon read 6 books and Breanna read 7 books. One book was read by all three children, but every other book
stepladder [879]
The total amount of different books is 16.

Take away 1 from each, representing the same book they all read.

7 - 1 = 6 , 6 - 1 = 5 , 5 - 1 = 4

Add the three together.

6 + 5 + 4 = 15

Add that one book everyone read.

15 + 1 = 16 different books.

Hope I helped you out.

Answer:

 2.64 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Each gallon costs $3.79, so the number of gallons that can be bought with $10 is ...

 $10/($3.79/gal) = (10/3.79) gal ≈ 2.6385 gal ≈ 2.64 gallons

What is slope? Answer is 3 examples
Lisa [10]

Slope is a measure of how steep a line on a graph is. You find slope by using a formula to find it (y2-y1/x2-x1) or by finding the rise over run of the line by analyzing the graph.

Select all numbers that have an absolute value of 6.3.
Choose all answers that apply:
nataly862011 [7]

There's... no answers to choose from.

My guess is that -6.3 would be at least one, as the absolute value of a number is how far away it is from zero. Ex; -2 is still 2 units away from zero, just as 2 is 2 units away from zero. So both's absolute value would be 2

TLDR;

| 6.3 | = | -6.3 |
