Organised in the year 1938, the House Un-American Activities Committee was a panel of the House of Representatives in the U.S. The committee studied the action of both the Nazis and the Communists throughout the United States. This action of the function appeared in many contempt-of-congress, charges, and blacklisting of many residents who refused to answer the questions of the panel.
