Mahmoud and his family had been 'thrown' out of the empty mall they had been staying in while waiting for a ship to take them to Greece. Unable to find suitable lodging for the night, they were walking along the road when <em>"an old brown Skoda"</em> stopped. Mahmoud had been trying to flag down any vehicle in the hope that they will be given a ride. The man who picked up the family introduced himself as <em>"Mr. Samih Nasseer"</em>, a refugee from Palestine.
