Answer:

The only good thing he did was to come up with a secret plan for his friend, Herbert, to get a job.

Explanation:

"Great Expectations" is a book written by Charles Dickens and tells the story of Pip, an apprentice blacksmith, orphan and poor boy who is constantly mistreated by his sister. One day, Pip receives a mysterious inheritance, which makes him very rich. He is full of high expectations of what the money will provide him, however, during this new life, he is very selfish and resentful. However, Pip recognizes his mistakes and tries to become a better person as he becomes wiser. When he reflects on everything he has done, he recognizes that the only good thing he has done is to help Herbert find a job. Pip made a plan for Herbert to be hired, unaware of Pip's help, thinking he had gotten a job with his own merits.

A literary device that uses extreme exaggeration is a metaphor simile paradox hyperbole
Darina [25.2K]

The literary device that uses extreme exaggeration is hyperbole which is a deliberate exaggeration of actions of ideas to make emphasis. Example, this bag weighs a ton. Metaphor and similes compare two different objects and show similarity between them The difference is that similes uses “as” or “like” and metaphor does not. Example of simile. I can eat like a horse. Metaphor, my boss is an old fox, very crafty
A paradox is a statement that seems to be self-contradictory and creates a humorous effect on readers. Example I must be cruel to be kind.

astraxan [27]

Answer:

I went to virgina on October 16th 2017, when I arrived there I got out of my car and walked into my new house. I looked around and saw a spider, I then proceeded to run out to my mom and dad and told them there was a spider in the living room. They laughed at me and told me I was going crazy and that there was nothing there. I had then went back into the house and the spider was gone so I was paranoid all night long and didnt get any sleep.

The next day I woke up and my parents had said they saw it too and they killed it so I was okay. I went to take a shower and saw another one, but I just thought I was seeing things so I ignored it and then it came up and crawled on me and bit me and the spider was a black widow and so my parents rushed me to the hospital and they helped get the poisine  out and then I went home the next day. We moved again because we found out our house was full of spiders and when we moved to the other house we didnt have a spider probelm and lived there for a year.
