STEP 1:
Find the amount of tax charged
= $24 * 8.25%
move the percent decimal two places to the left for decimal form
= 24 * 0.0825
= $1.9776 tax

STEP 2:
Add bill, tax and tip for total paid
Total= $24 + $1.9776 + $5
Total= $30.9776
round to second decimal place
Total= $30.98

ANSWER: Total paid was $30.98

Hope this helps! :)

Lynna [10]
The answer would be A. 3 1/2.
Explanation
First find a common denominator, which would be 6. You times the top number the same amount of times you times the bottom number to get the common denominator, so now it's 1 4/6 + 1 5/6 now you add, 1+1=2, now you need to add 4 and 5 together, bc they are the top numbers of the fraction. That would be 9 so now the problem is 2 9/6, now we simplify the fraction so that it is 3 3/6 now that simplifies into 1/2 so the answer is 3 1/2

borishaifa [10]

Answer:

P(Spinner lands on purple section) = 0.6 = 60%

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Number of sections = 10

Number of purple sections = 6

\text{Probability} = \displaystyle\frac{\text{Number of favourable outcomes}}{\text{Total number of outcomes}}

a) probability that the spinner will land on purple purple

P(purple) =

=\dfrac{6}{10} = 0.6

0.6 is the probability that the spinner will land on purple purple.

b) Interpretation of probability

0.6\times 100\% = 60\%

There is a 60% chance that the spinner will land on purple color.

What is the value of t? :O<br><br> (A) -20<br> (B) -5<br> (C) 5<br> (D) 20
Gnoma [55]
3/5t -4 -7/10t  = -2 (as you know 3/5 = 6/10) so
6/10t - 4 - 7/10t = -2
Simplify
-1/10t -4 = -2
add 4 to both sides
-1/10t - 4 + 4 = -2 + 4
-1/10t = 2
multiply -10 to both sides
-1/10t *(-10)  = 2 * (-10)
Simplify
t = -20

Answer first one t = -20
