Read the passage from When Birds Get Flu by John DiConsiglio. Dr. Dowell had proven that bird flu could pass from person to pers

on. But still, it hadn’t been spread easily. Which excerpt from earlier in the text best provides evidence to support Dr. Dowell’s conclusion in this passage? The next step for Dr. Dowell and his colleagues was to determine how mother and daughter had caught the flu. After helping her uncle bury some dead chickens, the girl developed a stomachache and a high fever, Dowell learned. During her day in the hospital, she never left her daughter’s room. That meant the mother most likely caught bird flu directly from her infected daughter. It had become even more dangerous than before. Now many other people would be at risk of getting sick and dying.

Which statement best expresses one of the themes of A Midsummer Night's Dream?
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

B. Love can make people act crazy.

Explanation:

The theme of madness is present all throughout the play, in fact, Lysander and Hermia are very irrational at the beginning when they decide to escape. Moreover, after Puck casts a love charm on the wrong person, the way the characters try to show their love for each other is rather crazy.

Furthermore, throughout the play we can find scenes of jealousy which makes characters act crazy, for example, when they almost try to kill each other.

The name of this play "A midsummer night's dream" suggests the dreamlike atmosphere that this play presents; dreams have the tendency of lacking logic, and most of the times they are even crazy. As a result, the name also backs up the idea that "love can make people act crazy".
