Answer:

1. Using two to three sentences, summarize what you investigated and saw in this lab.

I found that most of the planets and moons had carbon in them and that different elements absorb different wavelengths of light.

2. Astronomers use a wide variety of technology to explore space and the electromagnetic spectrum; why do you believe it is essential to use many types of equipment when studying space?

Astronomers should use multiple space technologies to study space objects. Although most light is similar, the way astronomers investigate light depends on what spectrum they want to see. Not all light can make it through earth’s atmosphere, so some wavelengths must be measured with telescopes on satellites.

3. If carbon were the most common element found in the moons and planets, what element is missing that would make them like Earth? Explain why. (Hint: Think about the carbon cycle.)

The missing element would be oxygen because the two of them make carbon dioxide.

4. We know that the electromagnetic spectrum uses wavelengths and frequencies to find a lot about outer space. How does it help us find out the make-up of stars?

Astronomers study the wavelengths by putting telescopes in high-up areas and getting the results of what they have observed.

5. Why might it be useful to find the elements that a planet or moon is made up of?

It might be useful so that we can discover new life on other planets and moons, or even discover new moons and planets.

Answer:

Using two to three sentences, summarize what you investigated and observed in this lab. I investigated that Most of my planets and moons had the element carbon in them. I observed that Different elements absorb different wavelengths of light.

Astronomers use a wide variety of technology to explore space and the electromagnetic spectrum; why do you believe it is essential to use many types of equipment when studying space?

It is essential to use a number of telescopes sensitive to different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum to study objects in space. Even though all light is fundamentally the same thing, the way that astronomers observe light depends on the portion of the spectrum they wish to study. Tools are useful, such as detectors that help see the different wavelengths of light. Not all light can get through the Earth's atmosphere, so for some wavelengths we have to use telescopes aboard satellites.

If carbon was the most common element found in the moons and planets, what element is missing that would make them similar to Earth?  Explain why. (Hint: Think about the carbon cycle.)

The missing element that would make moons and other planets similar to earth is oxygen. The two make carbon dioxide.

We know that the electromagnetic spectrum uses wavelengths and frequencies to determine a lot about outer space. How does it help us find out the make-up of stars?

electromagnetic radiation Explanation, astronomers observe the wavelengths by putting telescopes on mountain tops and take results of what they are seeing

Why might it be useful to determine the elements that a planet or moon is made up of?

It might be useful so we can make new discoveries of life or even plants on other planets and moons. And discover maybe even more moons one other planets.

Hope this helps!!!!

Sorry if this was too late!

g Indium has two naturally occurring isotopes: 113In with an atomic weight of 112.904 amu, and 115In with an atomic weight of 11
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

Fraction-of-occurrences of 115In isotope = 0.957

Explanation:

As we know  weight of 113 In  isotope is equal to the sum of product of fraction-of-occurrences of two constituents isotopes and their atomic weight

^{115}In_w = f_{113}*A_{113} + f_{115}*A_{115} ------(1)

As we know sum of fraction-of-occurrences of two constituents isotopes is equal to one.

f_{113} + f_{115} = 1\\f_{113} = 1- f_{115}---------(2)

Substituting the given values in equation 1, we get

^{115}In_w = f_{113}*A_{113} + f_{115}*A_{115}\\114.818 = (1 - f_{115}) * 112.904 + f_{115} * 114.904\\f_{115} = 0.957

Substituting this value in equation 2 we get -

f_{113} = 1- f_{115}\\f_{113} = 1- 0.957 \\f_{113} = 0.043

Katyanochek1 [597]

Nucleosomes are composed of "histones" class of molecules.

<u>Explanation:</u>

Histones usually presented in eukaryotic nuclei of cells which seemed as strong level of proteins that bundle and organize DNA into structural groups called nucleosomes in biological science.

They are chromatin's chief protein elements, functioning as spools along which DNA spins, and playing a major role in regulating genes. Five forms of histones have been recognized:

  • H1 (or H5), H2A, H2B, H3, and H4;
  • H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 are the main histones and H1 and H5 are the linker histones.
