It's difficult because the sensory feedback corrupts the signal. The example he uses is when using a radio.
Transcript:
" The trouble is these signals are not the beautiful signals you want them to be. So one thing that makes controlling movement difficult is, for example, sensory feedback is extremely noisy. Now by noise, I do not mean sound. We use it in the engineering and neuroscience sense meaning a random noise corrupting a signal. So the old days before digital radio when you were tuning in your radio and you heard "crrcckkk" on the station you wanted to hear, that was the noise. But more generally, this noise is something that corrupts the signal. "

Dear Diary,
I got unfairly punished by the principal today! I was just trying to give my pencil to my friend and the teacher thought I was cheating so she sent me to the principal. The principal told me I get 2 days of suspension since it was a final exam. He told me if I do it again I will be in much much bigger trouble. The worst part is, he called my parents and now they are upset too! No one believes that I wasn't trying to cheat because I am bit of a class clown but oh what does it matter. I can't believe I'm getting suspended for 2 days! I can't wait to tell my friends about this. I guess next time I should just keep my eyes on my desk and my desk only. If my friend needs a pencil, she can get one herself. Well, I have to get back to doing these chores my parents are making me do as a punishment. I hate cleaning these toilets! This is my brothers job anyways. Oh well, can't really do much about it. Bye bye diary, I'll write more tomorrow.

Answer:
The snowstorm having impeded our travel plans.
His mind constantly thinking about sports.
Explanation:
Absolute phrases are those phrases that modify a noun in a sentence but not only the noun alone. Rather, it modifies the whole/ entire sentence altogether but not connected to the main sentence with a conjunction.
In the given sentences, the absolute phrases are-
<u>"The snowstorm having impeded our travel plans" and "His mind constantly thinking about sports"</u>. These two phrases help modify the main clauses in their respective sentences but has no conjunction joining it to them. Moreover, a comma is used to separate them from the main clause and the main clause can still stand as a meaningful sentence on its own even without the presence of the absolute phrases.
