Answer:

During the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church exerted enormous power over Europe. The Church influenced governments, waged wars and levied taxes. Although some actions, such as the Medieval Inquisition, are controversial today, the Catholic Church also established universities and hospitals, instigated positive social change and paved the way for economic growth.

Explain some of the ways that war affected women
Vadim26 [7]
Women raise children and have to watch them go off into war which is obviously hard. Also women had to raise children and take care of farms while their husbands were away. Some women were used as spies. Women were probably devastated when their husbands die or grateful and happy if or when they returned. I hope this answers your question because I'm kind of confused on exactly what you're asking. :)

The Chinese recently announced an end to their one-child policy. How would Thomas Malthus react to China’s one-child policy?
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

Malthus was very concerned about unchecked population growth.

Explanation:

As a matter of opinion, I think it would be safe to say that Thomas Malthus would be in favor of the one-child policy because it would be a limit to the exponential growth in population we have undergone since his time. He was worried about our rapid growth in population and not being able to sistaine resources. He famously proposed 2 ways to keep our population in check, by means of "moral restraint" which China's policy would fall under or by means of natural plagues, famine various disease and even warfare.

What constitutional protections have resulted from these events?
LuckyWell [14K]
A) Constitutional protections from cruel and unusual punishment are safeguarded while executions continue.

The Eighth Amendment protects individuals from cruel and unusual punishment. The timeline describes a series of events that have protected individuals from cruel and unusual punishment while the government has continued to enforce and expand the use of the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment.
