Dear Gayu,
I have been wanting to report to you for some time now. And it occurred today on the International Women’s Day. First of all, congratulations on being alive. Do you recognize that dark and scary night of 24th of October 2016 when you desired to end your life? . It did, however, make you finally think for yourself and take that strong step though. Or those days when you watched ‘13 Reasons Why’ and identified yourself so much with the feeling that you actually imagined yourself in her place, cutting your wrists, blood oozing from your arteries and slowly breaking in the bathtub.
I am happy that now you have taken the decision to live the life on your own terms, even if that implies going against your own and sacrificing everything and everyone you held as special. It has been a very gruelling journey so far and the fortune may be tougher, but at the end of the day, you will be happy that you are truthful to yourself and that you did what was good.

It later appeared in The Terminal Beach (1964), and The Complete Short Stories of J. G. Ballard: Volume 1 (2006). With a dystopian ambience, "Billennium" explores themes similar to Ballard's earlier story "The Concentration City", of space shortages and over-crowding.

Explanation:
Based on lectures Virginia Woolf delivered at Newnham and Girton colleges in 1928, the six interrelated essays seek to answer why, historically, fewer women than men have written. The title of the book refers to Woolf’s belief that a woman writer needs privacy, space, and sufficient financial means to practice her craft.
