For this week’s discussion board assignment, you will research and present information on a significant contemporary artist from
an Asian country. Please follow the steps below: 1.) Go to www.art21.org. Click on the ‘Artists’ tab at the top of the page. Scroll through the list, and select an artist from an Asian country. Try to pick an artist that has not been commented on in many previous posts.
2.) Watch the video about your selected artist, and write a two-paragraph summary about the information presented. Specifically explain art topics, materials, and influences that make your artist unique.
3.) Along with your video summary, provide an image of your artist’s artwork. This image should be clear (high quality) and appropriate in size to incorporate into your post. Place the image at the top of your main post so that readers can see the art before they read about it.
Space is an important concept of art in that it creates a more three-dimensional image by distancing what's around it to create a background, middle ground, and foreground. Linear perspective changed at by using lines in a way such that the back of the canvas looks further away than the front and vice-versa.
