A plant is a very complicated system, even if it looks simple from above ground. You may only see the leaves, stem, and flowers,

but there is a whole system of roots underground that helps to keep the plant alive. The root system gives the plants the nutrients it needs from the soil to stay alive and keep blooming. There are so many roots under the plant that if you could see them, it would look like a whole other tree.

Which two elements of ShacWhich two elements of Shackleton's South! are common traits of a memoir?
gladu [14]
One of the main characteristics of a memoir is first-person narration, because a memoir is usually written by a person who has actually experienced all of those memories. A memoir is a French word meaning memory, so this is a text based on someone's memories. Also, a memoir is a blend of actual facts, things that the author has experienced throughout his or her life, and imagination used to create a mixture between a fictional and non-fictional work of art.

In the Second Episode, of what has Creon been accused?
Gekata [30.6K]

In the Second Episode, the thing that Creon had been accused of is A)conspiring to overthrow the king.

This suspicion is heavy as Creon certainly has the means to attempt a coup and this made him a very likely suspect and people began to be wary after he was directly accused.

What is a Narration?

This refers to the storytelling that is done with the aid of a narrator to show the sequence of events.

Hence, we can see that based on the complete text, there was some considerable suspicion on the part of Creon about overthrowing the king as he wanted to take his position and this was what he was accused of.

What happens at the end of “the chrysanthemums “ that makes elisa sad ?
Usimov [2.4K]
Elisa "cries like an old woman" because she is absolutely crushed because she realizes that she has been duped by the tinker and that he was not interested in her chrysanthemums at all. He had only pretended to be interested in Elisa talking about them in order to get some business from her (some pots to mend). What had been an awakening of emotions for Elisa was now a huge disappointment. Elisa realizes that she simply cannot be anyone different from who she is on her little farm with her husband. She is "trapped" there and will never be able to get her husband to see the aesthetic beauty of her flowers that she loves so much.
