(6) The table looked like a fancy buffet at a restaurant, covered with fragrant apple pies, steaming and juicy turkey, and sizzling hot sweet potatoes. (7) People ate and talked and had a lot of fun all through the afternoon, and most of them were asleep on the couches by eight o'clock.
